My first example for my linguistic competency is a formal business letter that I wrote in a Spanish Business course. The learning objective around this assignment was to learn the formal language and styles of language to use in a formal business setting.

My second example is a essay that focuses on giving instructions. The importance of this essay was to practice giving direct instructions in a casual to formal range of writing.
